American Fork Canyon
We went up American Fork canyon a few weekends ago to have a fire! The canyon's are beautiful in the Summertime and we've been so busy this Summer that we couldn't let it slip by without getting up there!

Draper Amphitheater
This past Thursday the Draper Amphitheater put on a free movie on a 40 ft blow up screen! We watched Megamind and sat next to our neighbors. It was a lot of fun and the Draper Amphitheater was a great venue because we sat close to the top and could see the entire valley from the top. They also gave out free hot dogs, cookies, chips, & water! I love Summer because of things like these and I'm sad we only get about 2 months left of warm weather.

The Man Cave
We re-arranged our house recently and moved our TV to the middle floor so we could move the office to the basement. The original office was really crowded and hot because it was on the top floor. Spencer calls his new office/study "The Man Cave". It's great!
4th of July 2011
Every year we go to my Grandma's house to watch the fireworks from Granite High School. I look forward to it every year because it's one of the best firework shows I've seen! I made some red, white & blue cupcakes :) I decided that this is my favorite Holiday of the year. When I have kids, every Holiday will be themed with food, their clothes, and activities to enjoy! Can't wait.

Summer Break
I quit my job on Monday because I am starting a new job on Tuesday July 5th. The company is called Bold, Inc. and I will be their office manager! I'm super excited. Since I've had this entire week off I have just been taking my "Summer Break". Remember when we were in high school and we would get a 3 month break for Summer? Welcome to the real world because that doesn't happen anymore! On Tuesday I invited my sisters over to my in-laws to swim. I watched Tangled before I left and here is Sophie just enjoying the movie as well. (She kind of blends into the couch in the corner)

Vibram Five Fingers
Since Spencer and I have been running 3-4 times a week, Spencer did some research on the Vibram Five Finger shoes. I thought they were absolutely ridiculous when I first saw a pair of these things. They are growing on me though and maybe if I can afford my own pair, I'd look into getting some! The whole thing behind these shoes is to feel like you are running barefoot. Spencer loves his and says they are the most comfortable shoes he's ever owned!
How it Works: The revolutionary design makes feet healthier by allowing them to move more naturally and freely. The typical human foot is an anatomical marvel of evolution with 26 bones, 33 joints, 20 muscles and hundreds of sensory receptors, tendons and ligaments. Like the rest of the body, to keep our feet healthy, they need to be stimulated and exercised.
After a run:
School
Spencer is going to school to get his Bachelor's degree in Economics and then later go back and finish his Master's in Business Management. I am so proud of him for going to school. It's not easy sometimes. Right now he is taking Summer classes and one of his classes is Business Calculus... yuck! After this semester he is transferring to the U of U. Somehow he manages to stay happy through it all and knows that there is light at the end of the tunnel... a career! I will be forever in-debted to him for going to school and being motivated to one day support a family through the means of having a career. I love him!
The prophet and apostles have said that getting an education is important, and right now more than ever. So many people are going back to school because it is getting tougher and tougher to find a job in this economy and with an education, you will be more qualified. If you have the opportunity, I would recommend taking it seriously because you never know what can happen. Maybe someday I will go back for myself.
