Hawaii Part 3

And here are some pictures of our last day....

Getting one last look at the beach
This is the coolest looking gecko I've ever seen!

Of course we had to get shave ice one more time!

We tried these fried donut things called Malasada's. I thought they were ok but nothing to rave about. Just a bunch of grease and sugar for our plane ride home!
This was the neighbor's dog Prim. She was adorable! The first couple of days, she would just bark at us but then she warmed up to us and made me miss Sophie.
 Sad to be leaving :(

The sunrise at 5:00am. Just about to pass over the coast of California.
Goodbye Hawaii! I am so sad it went by so fast but I will come back someday! Maybe next time I will go to Kuai!

Hawaii Part 2

Um. The Laie temple is stunning!

It was on a Sunday when we went and walked around the temple grounds but we did go back later in the week. It was neat to have all of us there. Jeff & Michelle did a session, I did initiatories, & Spencer was a witness while the girls did baptisms. Megan is only 9 and so she had to wait in the visitor's center. Someday we'll all be there!

 Cool way to cut pineapple!

I had no idea that pineapples grow on a bush and they take up to 2 years to grow!

This guy showed us how to cut open a coconut. We got to try fresh coconut; I didn't like it very much but it's so good for you!

 At the PCC

This was the sunset later that night while we were waiting to go to the Breath of Life dance show. So incredible!

Here we are taking a canoe ride!
Waiting for the dancer's to come out!
This guy climbed a palm tree!
This guy was funny. He's been at the PCC for years. Spence wanted to buy some of his artwork at the end because it was really pretty but we ended up not buying anything.
 Kayla got an airbrush tattoo!
 Pearl Harbor

Active military still protecting the island
 Inside the USS Missouri
It really is hollowed ground. I could definitely feel how sacred it is and felt the lives that were lost all around me. Especially when I looked inside this cabin bunker on the ship, I could just imagine all of the men sleeping in there.

We learned about these guns on the ship. They are HUGE!
This is where the men would hang out.
I love my husband. He looked like a true tourist with his DSLR but he took some amazing pictures with it.
 Shark's Cove @ Sunset
Look close, there's Spencer in the bottom left hand corner.

One day we went snorkeling at Shark's Cove. I saw schools of fish and a lot of tropical fish. I've never seen anything like it before.
Summer got sunburned on her back really bad on the 2nd day. I think she forgot to re-apply sunscreen or something but here she is trying to take her clothes off and she was in so much pain from her sunburn! Poor girl. Jeff had to put pounds of Aloe Vera on her back every night.

 Kissing on the beach.
