Grandma's House

Spencer's Grandma Luck is huge into gardening and I love it because we definitely benefit from it! She has a ton of fruit trees in her back yard and when the fruit is ready to be picked she invites us over and let's us pick and take as many as we want! Right now it is pear season so today (9/11/10) we went over and picked some pears! They are one of my favorite fruits. The trees had a lot of spiders in them so I didn't pick too many but Spencer sure didn't mind and went to town. We ended up with 4 buckets full but only took half because we can't eat them that fast! The picture below is her goats. She has 3 of them because they keep the weeds down and when the bad fruit falls off of the trees, then the goats can clean it all up. We also ended up going home with patti pan squash, acorn squash, tomatoes, and cale. (Not sure if those are spelled right)

Parker Curtis Brady

Parker Curtis Brady, born August 28th, 2010. We got to hold him today (9/11/10) for the first time because he had Pneumonia when he was born and stayed in the NICU for a couple of days. He made a pretty fast recovery and before we knew it he was home! Isn't he so sweet? I could have held him all day. He's the cutest thing. Below is a picture of Corbyn with Spencer's flip flops on. We were just sitting there holding Parker and Corbyn decided to try on Spencer's flip flops! He's so funny. Tracy said that when Parker was spitting up, Corbyn said "Oh no! Parker is spilling!" I love my nephews.

Fishing

Lately, Spencer has been going fishing. He has been getting up at 6:00 a.m. on some Saturday's to hit up the lakes/ponds. As you all know, Spencer is an amazing cook so he was really hoping to catch something to smoke in the smoker and eat for dinner. Too bad, all of the times he's gone they either throw the fish back because they are too small or they get "skunked". To get "skunked" means to come back with nothing! Bummer. Maybe next Summer we'll be able to eat some smoked trout!

This is me with our neighbor Amber and her daughter Mckenzie. The moved in about 2 months ago and her husband Chris likes to fish as well! We decided to come along. Below is Chris and their son Caleb on a different day.

Baby Embree's 1 Year B-Day

Embree turned 1 on 9/1/10 and family gathered at the park to celebrate this cute baby girls birthday! It was soo funny when she dove in for the cake! I didn't get a video of it with my camera but we were all laughing so hard. She literally stuck her whole face in it! Enjoy the pictures! I finally got a camera so pictures are starting to flow.
