Randoms

This is what the past few days have looked like for me. Today was day 4 of being congested and not getting any better so I went to After Hours Medical and was diagnosed with an ear infection. What?! I haven't had an ear infection since I was in elementary school! Let's hope these antibiotics kick in soon because I am sooo over being sick right now. 

It's Spencer's birthday today and I'm thinking we'll have to have a birthday do-over because he's been stuck doing homework all day and his wife is sick. Happy Birthday Spencer!

I took this picture today of a double rainbow while we were on our way to Chuck-A-Rama for a birthday dinner. The food was good but I could hardly taste it since I'm so plugged up. I also couldn't give Spencer the attention he deserved because I'm so exhausted. Poor guy!

I'm still so bummed about the election. Good thing we have some food storage.

I love my family so much! Two weekends ago, we had a girls night up in Park City. We stayed at the Marriott Mountainside and shopped til' we dropped. So fun! We're hoping this becomes a tradition.

Bring on Winter!

Last weekend we had an amazing snow storm! We got at least 6 inches of snow at our house and it was so pretty!

Fall through my iPhone

It seems as though my blog gets regularly updated with the seasons. So here you go, here is a recap of Fall 2012!

Spencer started school at the University of Utah and sometimes takes Trax. We decided it would be fun to take Trax on a date down to City Creek one evening. There was hardly anyone on the train so we got comfortable.

I found my new favorite smell at Bath & Body Works called "Love, Love, Love"

I got to meet the makers behind my favorite cooking blog called "Our Best Bites" at a book signing!

I love seeing storms like this rolling through from my back deck. Makes me want to stay in and be cozy!

One night Kayla came over to play games and Sophie passed out. She looked so cute that I wrapped her in a blanket.

Spencer's favorite yogurt drink called "Kefir". I had to take a picture of this because we've never seen so many flavors! Thank you Dan's at Foothill Village.

 Fall brings many fruits and vegetables to harvest. Spencer bought a pressure cooker and we canned until our heart was content! We got a ton of fruits & vegetables from Spencer's grandma's garden. Rember this post? Eboni & Parker helped us do the pears since they were the most difficult. 

Then over conference weekend we babysat the girls. What a better time than to listen to conference and get all of your canning done? Especially in a huge functional kitchen!

I love Halloween! Spence and I don't like to dress up because let's face it...who wants to waste money on costumes? For some reason, we never justify it because I'd rather have that cute shirt I've been eyeing and Spencer would rather keep saving for his knife sharpener. 

 I think my most favorite part is decorating my house! Someday I will have little children to dress up and I'm so excited to create traditions with them. I remember the smell of Beef Stew on Halloween night and running around the neighborhood until my legs were sore. I had the best childhood.

Hiking the beautiful Bonneville Shoreline Trail by my house. The fall leaves were so beautiful and we had such a warm Fall.

 I was driving home from work one rainy day and the clouds were low and contrasted beautifully with the red & orange leaves. I snapped a pic.

I babysat my niece Embree and nephew Cooper. I was so proud of myself for being brave enough to take two kids to Target! We even had fun trying on silly glasses.

Now that Spencer is back in school, I have some time on my hands and I love a clean house! All tidied up waiting for him to get home.

The "Crazy Corn Maze". I'd been dying to go to a Corn Maze this year and we almost didn't go until 2 days before Halloween when some friends called us up and asked us to come along. I was ecstatic! Spencer....not so much.

Summer through my iPhone

I've been meaning to update my blog for a while, so I decided to make one post dedicated to our Summer that we had! Get ready for a long post :)

I ate all of this in ONE day. I was definitely paying the price later that night.

Spencer got his Associates Degree and finished going to school at Salt Lake Community College forever! I'm so proud of him. 

Here we are on the Porter Rockwell trail in Draper.

In July, we drove down to St. George on a Friday after work and stayed at Grandma Frandsen's house to hike Angel's Landing in Zion National Park the next morning. If you look close at the picture, you can see people. This was the part where you had to hold on to chains and there were 1500 foot drop off's on either side. 

I'll be honest. This was freaking scary! The hike was literally straight up the whole way but I'm so glad we did it because it was sooo worth it!

Zion is so beautiful! I was blown away.

My dad decided to buy a set of mountain bike's this Summer so he could ride around the trails. One night, Spence and I took a relaxing ride around the neighborhood. It was fun!

This year, we bought the Seven Peak's Pass of All Passes and I'm sad to say that we only went to Seven Peak's once! We did go miniature golfing a lot though.

Can I just say how much I love my sister-in-laws? They are so fun to be around! 

Every year, on the 3rd of July, we go to my grandma's house to watch the Granite High School fireworks. They're some of the best in the valley. I made red, white, and blue jell-o. It was a hit!

On the 4th of July, I went down to St. George with my family. Spence couldn't get work off so I went by myself. This picture is small but the St. George Temple is right below the fireworks.

One day, I took these two shopping with me for my Birthday. They got bored in the store and drew mustache's on their finger's! I had to take picture's.

I took Spencer on a surprise date to Provo's Rooftop Concert Series. Every month during the Summer, there's a concert on the roof of a parking garage in Provo. We ate pizza at a joint nearby. So fun!

Yes. I did watch the Bachelorette (secretly, it's my guilty pleasure). Supporting People Water!

One day at work, I volunteered to clean the fridge and received this in return. Pay It Forward!

Spencer started school at the U of U so I created a survival kit for him. He woke up to it in the morning by surprise!
