24th of July

I am so bad at taking pictures! My digital camera broke a couple of months ago and we haven't had the money to buy a new one. Spencer has a Nikon, but that comes in a big bag, and it's a big camera.. not convenient at all! You have to put on the big 5 inch long lense just to take a picture haha. Taking pictures is rare these days, so I will just explain what we did on the 24th this year. My birthday isn't until the 31st but we celebrated it on the 24th. We went to Gateway Mall in SLC and ate at Tuchano's Brazilian Grill. It was delicious! Then we spent a few hours wandering around looking in the stores. Spencer is so patient when it comes to shopping, he just let me go wherever I wanted.
Then, Spencer's dad got us tickets to the REAL Salt Lake Game. His hospital (Salt Lake Regional Hospital) is a big sponsor of these games and so he gets free tickets all of the time, and not just any free tickets, they are tickets to sit in the suites! We were especially excited because we'd never been to a REAL game. The suites have a big flat screen TV in them that you can sit on a couch and watch the game inside with the cool AC or you can sit outside on the "deck" and watch the "live" game. The suites also come with free dinner and drinks! The dinner was delicious, it's always some gourmet thing. Also, Spencer's family got to sit in the VIP seats because Spencer's dad Jeff got to go out onto the field and flip a coin to see which team would be kicking off first. His poor dad had to scoot out on a scooter because he broke his foot a couple weeks ago. haha he didn't seem to be too embarrassed in front of the stadium though! It was a good game, they tied 1 to 1 and then they put on a fireworks show when the game was over. What a fun weekend! Then to top it all off, Jeff and Michelle invited Spencer and I over for dinner on Sunday night to celebrate my birthday early. Hope you all had a fun 24th of July!

Concert in the Park

Michelle's dad played the drums in a Concert at the Park in Provo a few weekends ago and we ate dinner & took some pictures while we were waiting for it to start. It was really pretty! It was all Orchestra/Band and they do it every Sunday (I believe). What a fun little family outing!

The 4th of July

On July 3rd we watched fireworks in Pleasant Grove behind a school. Fireworks are always fun to watch but this particular show was definitely not a crowd pleaser! The most exciting part was when one of the cannon's tipped over and was shooting fireworks towards the school. Spencer and Brady dressed up as cowboy's for the night. I don't own any cowgirl attire so I had to miss out! Brittany and Brady had gone to the DI earlier and found some deals on cowboy stuff! Here are the pictures of the cowboys (silly boys) and then all of us getting ready to watch the fireworks.

The In-Laws

Our friends Brady & Brittany were in town from Arizona so we had a good time hanging out and catching up with them! (Above) They thought it was cold here because they are used to 100+ degree weather back home!
Sophie loves the backyard too! She will play and run until it's time to go. Spencer even taught her how to swim in the pool this year! She still doesn't like the water very much but she'll at least get on the first two steps without us helping her :) (Above) Spencer practicing back-flips off the diving board.

Spencer's Dad and Step-mom have a great backyard! During the Summer, we are probably playing back there every single Saturday. We absolutely love it! and yes, that is a rock water slide!
