Lately at the Frandsen's

Spring has finally come!

I cooked my first ham! Look at that baby...

We went shooting for a work activity out in Grantsville, UT

I didn't shoot because I'm pregnant but Spencer got to shoot this huge thing!

Sweet Sophie sleeping like a human...

Finals Week = HELL WEEK
Seriously... I'm so sick of having a spouse in school but I know it will be worth it when it's over!

I bought a body pillow for the pregnancy and I ended up hating sleeping with it! It's too big and gets in the way. Maybe in the 3rd trimester we can try again?

Sophie just loves her toys.

As of May 1st, we have been married for 5 years! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary in Heber, UT at the same Bed & Breakfast we stayed at for our Honeymoon. Of course I didn't get any pictures but I surprised Spencer with this little getaway and had a lot of fun.

For a limited time, I was told Wendy's has frosty waffle cones and when someone says something is good, I have to try it! Especially now that I'm pregnant, it's only been enhanced.

This was my first Mother's Day I could actually celebrate me becoming a Mother. Spencer made me a wonderful breakfast Sunday morning!

Our cute townhouse is up for rent. I'm so so sad about this. We've lived here for 4 years and I have absolutely loved it. We are trying to move closer to work and school in Salt Lake City and will hope to move back in a year, or find something better. If you know anyone that might be interested in renting it, let me know!

18 Weeks

So far I have had a really easy pregnancy. Both my sisters and my mom got sick during their pregnancies so I thought it just ran in the family and I was doomed to be deathly ill. I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 6 weeks along and I wouldn't have guessed it because symptoms didn't start showing up until about 8 weeks!

My symptoms now that I am in the 2nd Trimester are:

Mood Swings
Increased appetite
Insomnia
Cramping

Not too bad eh?

15 Weeks

These pictures are not getting easier to take. I take about 10 before I can choose one that I like. Must be pregnancy hormones or something.

12 Weeks

Yes...it's true!

We are expecting!!

I took 3 pregnancy tests after I was a week and 1/2 late from my "time of the month" and they all came back positive. (Btw - Pregnancy tests from the dollar store work just fine... here is the proof)

This girl doesn't even know what's coming yet... her world is about to change!

Spencer got really excited and bought his dream stroller... The BOB

He got home from work and school one night and decided to put it together! He was pretty excited!

And of course Sophie had to play in the box it came in...

California Bound

I'm a little late posting this but over Spring Break we drove down to California to visit Spencer's aunts. We've been married for almost 5 years now and were finally getting down there to see them!

The first 2 days of our trip, we spent with Spencer's aunt Jocelyn. On the first day, we rented bikes and rode them around Balboa Island

We stopped at got frozen banana's dipped in chocolate. Yum!

Us riding the Ferris Wheel with Spencer's cousin Katie

At "The Wedge"

Spencer's aunt Jocelyn lives in Placentia, CA and when we left her house, it was close to 80 degree's. As soon as we got close to the ocean, the temperature dropped to somewhere in the 60's. I was freezing the whole time, but we still had fun!

The next day, Spencer's uncle Kris told us to eat at this restaurant called Slater's 50/50. The burgers are 50% bacon and 50% hamburger!

The hamburger was huge, but delicious!

I ordered a salad because I was trying to be healthy

Later that evening, we went to an outdoor shopping mall called The Spectrum! The weather was gorgeous and I had fun shopping.

The tail end of our trip was visiting Spencer's other aunt that lives in Camarillo, CA. She took us hiking up this sand dune where we watched the dolphins swimming in the ocean below.

Climbing this sand dune was a work out! It's literally straight up and hiking in sand only.

Sitting at the top resting

After we hiked the sand dune, DeAnna took us to eat breakfast at the airport. There's a small airport near her house and we got to watch small planes land and take off while enjoying our delicious breakfast!

This is not something you see in Utah... DeAnna has a lemon tree/bush in her front yard and the lemons were huge!

There are bunches of strawberry fields everywhere and you can stop and buy cases of strawberries at the stands off the side of the road. The strawberries were the biggest, juiciest, yummiest I had ever tasted or seen!

Our last day, we celebrated Spencer's Uncle Dean's birthday at a restaurant in Marina Del Ray called "Killer Shrimp" on the pier. Unfortunately, this was the best picture I got, but we ate some pretty amazing shrimp!

After we ate the shrimp, Spencer and I decided to head home. This was the traffic at 9:00 at night in LA. The traffic in California is so annoying!

Thanks again to Spencer's aunts for their hospitality and showing us around. We had a lot of fun!
