Happy New Year

Our friends came into town from Arizona (Brady, Brittany & their daughter Holly, JP, & Lindsey). It's not often that we are all together and it was so good to be with them!

I can't take serious pictures without laughing.

On New Year's Eve, we had just a small group over to our house for dinner, games, & a movie.

What's a New Year's Eve without Champagne glasses? Of course we drank Martinelli's!

Get my wisdom teeth out
Go on vacations (California, Arizona, St. George)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The 12 "Dates" of Christmas

This year I decided to do something I've never done before (thanks to Pinterest), and that was the 12 "Dates" of Christmas! Due to the Holiday's getting busy and things coming up, we didn't follow my schedule verbatim but we got pretty close! Here is a re-cap:

The Schedule

Date #1: Holiday Movie Night

 Date #2: Sledding

Date #3: Temple Square & City Creek

Date #4: Gift Wrapping

Date #5: Make Cookies

Date 6: Driving Light Tour

Date #7: Christmas Shopping

Date #8: Harmon's Date (we were supposed to get Hot Chocolate but we had eaten so much sugar already that we decided to go with something healthy)

Date #9: This date got skipped, we went and saw McKay Dunn open his mission call instead. (totally worth it)

Date #10: Dinner Date w/ Friends

Date #11: Breakfast in Bed

Date #12: Christmas Eve @ my Aunt DeAnn's house

We all wore red bottoms and didn't even plan it!

The guys were very comfortable with each other!

Overall, doing the 12 Dates of Christmas was really fun. It allowed us to really slow down and get into the Holiday spirit together. Next year if we do it again, I really want to do something more in the spirit of giving and service since that is what Christmas should be focused on.

Thanksgiving 2012

Every other year, we head down to St. George for Thanksgiving to be with Spencer's side of the family.  Yeah it's January and I'm just now writing about this. Go me!

Kind of unique that there are two children with Down Syndrome in the same family! I love them... they're so fun.

Jackson & Alli

We decided to try out Target on Black Friday... got myself some movies for a steal of deal! For some, this was their first time ever Black Friday shopping. I think it was pretty successful!

The weather was unusually warm and perfect for this time of year. We took advantage of it!

I don't totally enjoy shooting, so I just watched and soaked up the sun rays!
